Blue skies and winter winds filled the air as Catoctin Mountain Park sat stoic & lovely behind Springfield Manor Winery & Distillery today.

Shane became a dashing husband with so much poise anda relentlessly content smile, with a small army of his best guys who know how to party, at his side. Heather got ready with her best gals all of which are sweethearts through and through. She put on her mother's heirloom hairpiece with a handmade veil & seamlessly went from fiancee to bride, to stunning wife all in one spring-forward morning.

Personalized vows, Disney music, Psalm 127:1 "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vein" (a favorite verse of mine), tv couple references, & many giggles were sprinkled throughout their ceremony & their brunch buffet was a delight to all the senses. Let me repeat that, it was a brunch buffet on a Sunday morning. It's the ultimate brunching experience I've ever had.

Besides the endless list of wonderful details, love filled every corner of their wedding day - the love of friends, the love of scripture and the Lord, the love of family & the love of a new husband and wife. It was quite the atmosphere to be in & was breath taking to sit in the middle of.

Heather & Shane, having had the opportunity to finally meet each of your families & so many of your friends today, I am not surprised by your ability to love others so well. You both are constantly surrounded by it. Nor am I surprised that the Lord has brought you two together because both of your hearts are equal in size & sweetness. I'm so grateful to have journeyed with you both through out this wonderful & exciting season of your lives & believe me ... it's only going to get sweeter dear friends. I've got so much love for you both & wish you every joy in marriage & life.
