Romantic, Winter Lake Tahoe, California Wedding: Patrick + Maria

It’s not every day that I get to go to the mountain tops to capture a winter wedding, but I’m so glad I did for Maria & Patrick’s Lake Tahoe, California wedding. I am grateful to have been second photographer to a dear friend of mine, Hope, to help capture this intimate Lake Tahoe wedding.

There were so many sweet moments that day, but my favorite was when Maria gave her grandfather a call while getting ready. Through tears she told him she loved him and wished that he could be there on her wedding day. And while listening to their conversation, I snapping a few photos of that moment then a lightbulb went off in my head. As soon as Maria got off the phone I told her that I could live stream her wedding ceremony on my Facebook page for her grandfather to see in real time. Together we were going to make sure her grandfather saw his precious granddaughter get married to the love of her life.

It’s such a privileged to live in a time where technology has evolved so quickly that we do things like live stream a wedding ceremony to family far away. I’m so grateful her grandfather was able to celebrate that day with Maria even from a far. And from here on out, I’m making sure none of my brides or grooms go without the option of live streaming their wedding day, incase a family member is unable to attend.

Patrick & Maria, your wedding day, your partnership, and your closeness to family & friends is so beautiful, It was such a joy capturing your love & your wedding day. I’m so happy for your beautiful little family & I wish you guys all the very best!
